When nature meets creativity

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is a place in Bengaluru, where you can find the peace of your life. It is a perfect place to visit with family and friends on weekends or any holiday.

Every year, during the week of Indian Republic Day and Independence Day, the department of Horticulture and Mysore Horticulture Society jointly organize a massive flower show in this Mughal style garden.

The main motivation of this flower show is to educate people about the variety of flora and to increase their interest in plant conservation and cultivation.

This year the flower show attracted many national and international plant and art lovers by a 15 ft. tall statue of Bahubali, which was decorated by different type of flowers. The other attraction of this flower show was 500 varieties of frigid zone flowers form Sikkim and Darjeeling.

On the otherside, there were many small shops inside the garden to attract tourists. Those were actually shops of handmade home decors and exotic plants.

The private garden of Hyder Ali, the famous ruler of old Mysore, is now one of the most famous visiting place in the Garden City and if there is an event like flower show, it is then the Queen of Bengaluru.
