Know about Himalayan Tibet Museum in Darjeeling
Darjeeling has many things to see and the Himalayan Tibet Museum is a very special place to gain knowledge in Buddhism, culture, and history of Tibet.

This museum inaugurated by Tibetan guru Gurung Tulku Nima Hoiser Rinpoche on 2nd July 2015. This is a very new thing in Darjeeling and especially a very nice place for history lovers.

As it is located on Gandhi Road, you can easily get a car to reach there from the Darjeeling Mall. To ensure your entry you have to buy tickets of INR 50 per person. This is to inform you that Wednesday is the only day in a week when you won’t get it open. It opens at 9:30 am and closes at 5:00 pm.

The entire museum is talking about the teachings of Lord Buddha, Buddhism, Culture, and history of Tibet. In a part of the museum, you will find images of His Holiness Dalai Lama in different stages of his life, which reminded me my meetings with him 2 years back and the golden moments of taking blessings from him. I actually met him thrice and each time I felt the positive vibe.

Interestingly, His Holiness Dalai Lama himself donated some articles and exhibits to this Himalayan Tibet Museum including the statue of Lord Buddha.

This museum also tells you about some great Tibetologists and their work on Tibetan culture and language.

This museum is very good to get an idea about Tibet, people of the Himalayan range, Tibetan culture, history, communities and yes Buddhism. I think, if you are visiting Darjeeling, it would be very good to keep it on your list.
