A Peaceful Nest Surrounded by Nature Near Mumbai

Not very far from Mumbai, a village at the foothill of Karjat hill, known as Hum village in Karjat. Surrounded by dark blue hills and serene forest, Karjat provides a tranquil atmosphere. On the lap of the nature, living in a bamboo cottage indeed feels luxurious.

Between November to March period, Karjat is dry. But, that doesn’t change its beauty. It seems, it has taken a new avatar in this so-called winter season in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It has a playful spring vibe with colourful flowers and trees.

Morning at Hum village looks different. An ego-less sun rises from the east of western ghat for a brighter day. Every minute in morning chances its colour. The changing drama continues till 8 am every day. A cup of tea and having a moment of watching red and sweet Sun, is pleasing to the eyes.

As the Sun rises higher, with time, the day gets warmer. In the shadow of bamboo shed is the perfectly right place to sit and watch those colorful butterflies to play. Sometimes, it takes back to the childhood village memories, where I can’t go back.

Hills turns bluish when it’s close to evening. Those fuchsia pink flowers give their poses perfectly with the blue background for photos. They dance with the mild winds and add more beauty to this serene place.
